2022 SEASON OPENER

Sunday, May 29th at 7pm brings a start to the 2022 Western Lacrosse Association season for your Maple Ridge Burrards.  We are very excited about the team we have put together, and this year you will see some major changes with our roster. Some players have moved on, and others are taking the season off for other commitments.  Coming back from 2 lost Covid seasons, we have 3 years of draft picks, as well as various players picked up through a few trades. This season’s training camp was full of skilled players looking to earn their spot on the Burrards 2022 roster.  There were several hard decisions that needed to be made, and the players made it exceptionally tough for the coaches.  We are looking forward to hitting the floor in front of the best and most knowledgeable lacrosse fans in the WLA.

As well, this Sunday is the Ridge Meadows Burrards Minor Appreciation BBQ running from 2 pm till 6 pm.  The minor players will be put through an obstacle course and have their chance to set the record for the hardest shot! At 5 pm there will be an autograph session with the Sr Burrards players before they hit the floor for warm up!  We are looking forward to seeing all our fans, young and old out at the season opener!
