Maple Ridge Burrards of the Western Lacrosse Association Honor Rugged Defender Kevin Reid with

Jersey Retirement Ceremony.

Maple Ridge, Wednesday July 10, 2024 - The Maple Ridge Burrards of the Western Lacrosse Association

proudly announces the retirement of the number 40 jersey belonging to Kevin Reid, a stalwart of the

team known for his exceptional prowess on the floor. The retirement ceremony set to take place on

Monday July 29, 2024 at Cam Neely Arena Maple Ridge before the game verses the New Westminster

Salmonbellies, will pay tribute to Reid's contributions to the teams legacy.

Throughout his career, Kevin Reid emerged as a beacon of leadership, commitment and fearlessness,

etching his name into the annals of Burrards history. Renowned for his rugged style of play and

unwavering determination, Reid rose to become a cornerstone of the Maple Ridge Burrards franchise,

earning the admiration and respect of fans and players alike.

As a defensive titan, Reid's commanding presence on the floor not only inspired his teammates but also

struck fear into the hearts of opponents. His ability to thwart opposing offenses and lead by example

earned him the distinction of being the Maple Ridge Burrards All Time Leader in games played and

penalty minutes, solidifying his status as a true legend of the Burrards.

Kevin’s impact on the Maple Ridge Burrards transcends statistics. His leadership, tenacity and

commitment have left an indelible mark on our organization. It is only fitting that we honor his legacy

with the retirement of his number 40 jersey.
