TRADE ALERT: DRAFT NIGHT EDITION

A series of trades made the start of the 2022 Graduating Junior Player Draft interesting for the fans, and chaotic for the GMs tracking the draft order.

Between New Westminster and Burnaby:

Burnaby Lakers received the 1st round pick in 2022 and the 1st round pick in 2025. New Westminster Salmonbellies received the playing rights to Eli Gobrecht.

 

Between Burnaby and Langley:

Burnaby Lakers received the playing rights to Tyler Pace, Harrison Smith, Nash Moog, and the 2nd round pick in 2023. Langley Thunder received the playing rights to Robert Church and Matthew Beers (for two years in which a Mann Cup is contested.)

 

Between Nanaimo and New Westminster:

Nanaimo Timbermen received the playing rights to Adam Fulton, and the 1st and 2nd round picks in 2022, and the 1st and 2nd round picks in 2024. New Westminster Salmonbellies received the playing rights to Jordan Gillis and Liam MacDonald.

 

Between Nanaimo and Burnaby:

Nanaimo Timbermen received the playing rights to Callum Crawford, a 1st round pick in 2022, and a 2nd round pick in 2022. Burnaby Lakers received the playing rights to Mark Yingling.

 

Between Burnaby and Maple Ridge:

Burnaby Lakers received the playing rights to James Rahe. Maple Ridge Burrards received the playing rights to Nash Moog and Rhys Blake.

 

Between Burnaby and Maple Ridge:

Burnaby Laker received the 2024 1st round draft pick. Maple Ridge Burrards received the 2022 1st round pick.
